Rice is Life
This documentary is about rice, its cultivation and the daily struggle in the life of the farmer cultivating it. The footage has been shot in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam, home to almost 20 million people of whom 80% are involved in rice cultivation. A region where water, boats, houses and markets coexist to produce a generous harvest of rice.
Hopefully this documentary creates some awareness and helps us to understand the importance of what you are holding in your hands the next time you reach for a bowl of rice.
